Ben is a graduate of Ball State University where he studied Music Theory and Composition.  He began his professional career at New York City’s legendary Power Station (now Avatar studios). In addition to his traditional music producer/engineer work, during 2014 Ben began working in studio with corporations and organizations using the studio experience and the creation of music as a teaching mechanism focused specifically on the virtues of effective collaboration.  The in-studio session, along with a targeted debrief and subsequent follow up proved to be an enthusiastic success.  Coincidentally, the first song created in the “teaching laboratory” written and performed by Paul Brandt, engineered by Ben, along with Gordon Mote on keyboards charted on the Billboard Canada Top 100.  This was the genesis for the creation of the Sound Collaboration Group.

Beyond the studio, Ben formerly served as Vice President of the Recording Academy Nashville, is a Leadership Music Alumni, and the former co-chairman of the Recording Academy’s Producer Engineer Wing.  He frequently moderates educational seminars at the Leadership Music Academy and Belmont University. Additionally, Ben is a part of the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Team and just participated in his seventh consecutive Indy 500.
